Additional funds are being provided to complete renovations to the East Wing of Parliament.
Recently it was revealed the funding was required to replace the old air conditioning system, cabling and electrical wiring, along with Parliament’s communication systems.
2.8 million dollars is being provided.
Minister of Housing, Lands and Maintenance, Dr. William Duguid admits the renovations are no easy task given the age of the building and level of work undertaken.
He is hopeful work can be completed in January of next year.
