Barbados wants the World Bank to change its stance on providing assistance for coastal protection.
Prime Minister, Mia Amor Mottley says almost every coastal protection policy has been financed by the Inter-American Development Bank.
She was the latest guest for the Climate Talks series hosted by Emory University of the USA.
Ms. Mottley has labelled drought, salt water incursion and coastal erosion as the chronic NCDs of the climate crisis.
She says Barbados has lived the realities of changes of climate and has highlighted Six Men’s, St. Peter as an example.
