The Ministry of Public Service has agreed to offer a COVID Hazard Pay allowance to nurses and other eligible workers in the healthcare system.
Confirmation of this from Acting General Secretary of the National Union of Public Workers, Richard Green.
He says the Union concluded negotiations on the matter following a meeting with the Ministry on December 14th.
Mr. Green says the Union is currently awaiting a response from the Office of the Attorney General on suggested amendments to the legislation pertaining to Safe Zones.
