It was a night of praises, song and reflection as the St. Catherine Anglican Church in St. Philip observed the 100th anniversary of its consecration on Saturday evening.
President of Barbados, Her Excellency The Most Honourable Dame Sandra Mason, topped the list of attendees that included Anglican clerics, longstanding members of the church and supporters.
Dame Sandra was among those who recounted their formative years at the church.
The service also included the unveiling of a commemorative plaque and the presentation of awards to outstanding church members.
In his short address, Anglican Bishop of Barbados The Right Reverend Michael Maxwell congratulated the church on its achievements over the last century.
