Two major projects are on the cards for Barbados this year.
Minister of Agriculture, Food and Nutritional Security Indar Weir told CBC News they came out of the AfriCaribbean Trade and Investment Forum held in Barbados last year.
He said the ground work is already in place.
The minister said the initiatives hold jobs for Barbadians in a number of areas.
