Two senior female police officers are running things in the north of the island.
Superintendent Christine Stanford is the Officer in Charge of the Northern Division and her deputy is Assistant Superintendent Janice Ifill.
Superintendent Stanford told CBC News she took office on February 14.
Meanwhile Assistant Superintendent Janice Ifill has been speaking about efforts to solve crimes.
