Health Minister Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Bostic has stoutly defended his Ministry’s decision to implement a new travel protocol that will see fully vaccinated travellers with a negative PCR test not having to quarantine when they arrive in Barbados.
Speaking during a media conference on Friday, he says it has to do with where the majority of positive cases are coming from.
Minister Bostic says the number of cases being recorded, on average, for just a single day within local communities, far exceed the positive cases coming through the airport for an entire month.
However, Minister Bostic says the possibility of changing the protocols at the airport again is not off the table.
