Increase in overnutrition

Overnutrition, rather than undernutrition, is now the major concern for local health officials.

Mindful of this, acting nutrition officer, Glencil Taylor, explains greater efforts will be made to arrest the trend, during the ongoing Nutrition Month celebrations and beyond.

She made the point during her address at a church service to kick off the month at the St. Philip The Less Anglican Church this morning.

And with aggressive healthy eating education drives expected this month, the president of the Dietitians of Barbados, Sade Haynes, is challenging Barbadians to make better meal choices.
