Social activist and Special Advisor to the Prime Minister, Corey Lane is officially the Barbados Labour Party’s candidate for the City in the upcoming general election.
He offered himself for selection back in October after the constituency’s MP Lieutenant Colonel The Most Honourable Jeffrey Bostic, indicated he would not be returning to contest the seat.
Lane confirmed the development during a telephone interview with CBC News.
The newcomer says it’s just a continuation of his public service career of more than 24 years, and he’s therefore feeling confident about his chances.
He says his plan is to meet the needs of the people whom he hopes to represent.
