At least one St. Philip farmer is reporting a bountiful harvest of pumpkins just in time for Independence.
Pumpkins are a key ingredient in many local treats such as conkies and pumpkin fritters among other things.
Owner of Bluebird Acres, Sheria Brathwaite, is welcoming the yields as some of her other crops were wiped out by the recent rains.
Mindful of the economic situation, the young farmer has been working with customers to meet their budgets and ensure they can get their desired quantities of pumpkin.
