
The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory identified 392 new COVID-19 cases – 209 males and 183 females – on Wednesday, October 20th out of the 2,830 tests done.
The new positives comprise 68 people who are under the age of 18, and 324 who are 18 years and older.
There are 617 individuals in isolation facilities, and 3,666 in home isolation.
Confirmed COVID-19 cases recorded since March last year, stand at 14,326 (6,907 males and 7,419 females). To date, 124 lives have been lost to the virus.
The public health laboratory has carried out 367,365 tests since February 2020.
Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of individuals with at least one dose is 146,106 (64%of the eligible population). The total number of people who are fully vaccinated is 119,195 (44% of the total population or 52.2% of the eligible population). The eligible population represents those who are 12 years and older.
