Six of Barbados’ best female pool players will face off with six of Jamaica’s best at the Kaleido Cup, set for this weekend at the Student’s Guild at the UWI, Cave Hill Campus.
The national team is Shari Yearwood, Kimberly-Ann Best, Valarie Layne, Tricia King, Sabrina Doughty and Alicia Archer.
The tournament, which is about highlighting the women in the sport of pool, is the brainchild of Eugenie Layne.
As mentioned, it is a team competition and Manager and Co-organiser of the tournament, Davi Davis, spoke to the format.
President of Q-Sports Barbados – formerly the Barbados Pool Development Association – Daniel Hinds, says this weekend’s tournament against the Jamaicans is the start of opening the door for more regional and international exposure.
