Barbadians are being told the island is putting buffers in place and building resilience for future economic shocks.
Senior Economic Advisor to the Government, Dr. Kevin Greenidge says the region remains one of the most vulnerable in the world.
He says small open economies like ours are exposed as seen more recently with the COVID-19 pandemic and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Dr. Greenidge was addressing an economic forum titled ‘Economic Policy in Uncertain Times’ hosted by the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of the West Indies at Cave Hill.
