Another important piece of legislation brought before Parliament as Child Month winds down is the Child Justice Bill, 2023.
The legislation will bring changes to the way children are handled by the justice system.
Minister of Home Affairs and Information, Wilfred Abrahams says the legislation is a revolutionary approach to justice.
He says it touches on the issue of corporal punishment for children detained or in a residential facility.
