Barbados recorded 310 new COVID-19 cases, 136 males and 174 females, from the 1,217 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory on Saturday, May 14.
Of the positive cases, 79 people were under the age of 18, and 231 were 18 years and older. There were 110 people in isolation facilities, while 4,587 were in home isolation.
No deaths were recorded yesterday, so the number of COVID-19 related deaths remains at 433.
The public health laboratory has conducted 670,638 tests since February 2020 and recorded 76,571 COVID-19 cases (35,043 males and 41,528 females).
Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of people with at least one dose is 162,036 (70.9 per cent of the eligible population).
The total number of fully vaccinated individuals is 152,357 (66,771 males and 85,586 females) which represents 56.2 per cent of the total population, or 66.7 per cent of the eligible population. The eligible population represents those people who are 12 years and older.
