Fortress World Fund gains 14.5%

Leading fund manager, Fortress Fund Managers, says Fortress World Fund made gains over the past year despite third-quarter declines.

Fortress recently shared this assessment with investors in its September quarterly report for the Fortress World Growth Fund and the Fortress World Fixed Income Fund.

Both funds provide access to global equity and debt investments for investors with U.S. dollars.

The Fortress World Growth Fund was down 4.8% in the third quarter and up 14.5% over the past year.

During the quarter, global equities declined as strong economic growth in the U.S. raised fears that interest rates would need to stay “higher for longer” to battle inflation.

Going forward, Fortress sees a number of challenges, including volatile energy prices, high interest rates and, more recently, increased geopolitical risks.
