Barbados’ economy recorded 4.1 per cent growth for the first quarter of the year.
The disclosure from the Governor of the Central Bank of Barbados, Dr. Kevin Greenidge. as he reviewed Barbados’ economy for January-March 2024.
Dr Greenidge says this is the 12th quarter of economic growth for the country. He notes that it has been driven largely by the extraordinary performance of the tourism sector. Inflation is reported to have slowed but remains elevated, primarily due to local factors.
Dr Greenidge has also provided insight into the Barbados reserves.
