A total of 150 people, 69 males and 81 females, were identified as COVID-19 positive from the 997 tests carried out by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory on Friday, March 4th.

The cases comprise 28 people under the age of 18, and 122 who are 18 years and older.

There were 53 people in isolation facilities, while 1,518 were in home isolation.

The public health laboratory has carried out 590,700 tests since February 2020, and recorded 56,013 COVID-19 cases (26,001 males and 30,012 females).

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of individuals with at least one dose is 160,450 (70.3 per cent of the eligible population).

The total number of fully vaccinated people is 149,913 (55.3 per cent of the total population or 65.6 per cent of the eligible population).

The eligible population represents those who are 12 years and older.
