A total of 168 people, 65 males and 103 females, tested positive for COVID-19 from the 796 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory on Friday, May 27th.
The cases comprise 32 people under the age of 18, and 136 who are 18 years and older. There were 52 in isolation facilities, while 2,391 were in home isolation.
The public health laboratory has conducted 684,811 tests since February 2020, and recorded 80,206 COVID-19 cases (36,623 males and 43,583 females).
Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of people with at least one dose is 162,345 (71.1 per cent of the eligible population).
The total number of people who are fully vaccinated is 152,758 (56.4 per cent of the total population or 66.9 per cent of the eligible population).
The eligible population represents those who are 12 years and older.
