The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory has recorded 169 new cases of COVID-19 – 70 males and 99 females – on Friday, September 24th, out of the 1,990 tests conducted.
Of the 169 new cases, 36 individuals are under the age of 18, and 131 are 18 years and older. The ages of two people are unknown.
There are 974 patients in isolation.
Barbados has recorded 7,401 confirmed cases (3,647 males and 3,754 females) of the viral illness.
The public health laboratory has performed 306,755 tests.
Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, a total of 131,039 first doses have been administered. To date, 101,374 people (37.4%) have received their second dose and are fully vaccinated.
