1st day on the job for new BTMI CEO & COO

The Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. (BTMI) has a new Chief Executive Officer at the helm.

Andrea Franklin replaces Dr. Jens Thraenhart, who resigned last year from the position he held since 2021.

The Board of Directors also agreed the new CEO will be supported by a Chief Operations Officer (COO), Cheryl Carter, who will manage the operational functions of the organisation so the CEO can focus on the strategic direction of the new entity.

In a brief press conference today on her first official day in the role, Ms. Franklin spoke to the media about some of her priorities to move the industry forward.
