That was the call from Attorney General Dale Marshall, as he delivered remarks at the opening of bus shelters at Todds Corner and Blackmans, St. Joseph today.
The Member of Parliament for the parish said the initiative, a combined effort of the Lions Club Scotland District, Kikks Slippas Caribbean Limited and Mint Finish Construction, was a step in the right direction in giving residents reason to stay in rural Barbados.
The bus shelter at Blackmans, St. Joseph was named in honour of late Lions Club stalwart and Melvin Jones Fellow, Keith Taitt.
The students of the nearby Grantley Adams Memorial School have been given responsibility for the upkeep of the shelter at Blackmans and Lions Club Scotland District President Senator Patricia Parris told them to take ownership of the shelter.
