Barbados recorded 25 COVID-19 related deaths during the period Friday, October 22nd to Thursday, October 28th.
Of those, 14, or 56% were females.
The ages of the deceased ranged from 40 to 97, with the average age being 68.
88% of them had underlying illnesses or comorbidities, with 15 people (60%) having more than one comorbidity.
The two main comorbidities reported were diabetes and hypertension. The other underlying medical conditions recorded were asthma, dementia, Parkinson’s, kidney disease, Alzheimers and psychiatric disorders.
22 out of the 25 deceased were unvaccinated.
