284 new COVID-19 cases – 119 males and 165 females – were identified out of the 1,590 tests done by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Lab on Tuesday, November 16th.

Of the new cases, 56 people are under the age of 18, and 228 are 18 years and older.

There were 923 people in isolation facilities, and 7,512 in home isolation.

The public health lab has carried out 418,549 tests since February last year, and recorded 22,923 cases (10,972 males and 11,951 females) of COVID-19.

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of individuals with at least one dose is 152,095 (66.6 per cent of the eligible population). The total number of people who are fully vaccinated is 133,284 (49.2 per cent of the total population or 58.4 per cent of the eligible population).

The eligible population represents those who are 12 years and older.
