For the second time in just nine months, hundreds of dogs have secured a private flight from Barbados to Canada bound for new homes.
Last May 200 dogs and 15 cats were sent to Canada, and on Sunday 187 dogs from Ocean Acres Animal Sanctuary made the journey.
Founder of Ocean Acres, Karen Whittaker says the Ruffugee flight and arrangements were expensive and believes spaying and neutering are key to ensuring the population of strays is controlled.
M Jet FBO was one of the main contributors to the flight, as we hear from its Operations Administrator Leeann Nurse.
