There were 78 new COVID-19 cases (35 males and 43 females) recorded Tuesday, December 14th, 2021 from among the 1,053 tests carried out by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

Of the new cases, 13 patients are under the age of 18, and 65 are 18 years and older.

The number of people in isolation facilities was 193, while 1,502 were in home isolation.

The public health laboratory has carried out 454,146 tests since February last year, and recorded 27,027 cases (12,855 males and 14,172 females) of COVID-19.

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of individuals with at least one dose is 154,702 (67.7 per cent of the eligible population).

The total number of people who are fully vaccinated is 140,662 (51.9 per cent of the total population or 61.6 per cent of the eligible population).

The eligible population represents those 12 years and older.
