Barbados recorded 95 new COVID-19 cases from the 451 tests carried out on Wednesday, August 31st by laboratories across the island.

The cases comprise 12 people under the age of 18, and 83 who are 18 years and older.

There were 82 people in isolation facilities, while 1,406 were in home isolation.

The laboratories conducted 755,571 tests since February 2020, and recorded 101,215 COVID-19 cases (45,784 males and 55,431 females).

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of fully vaccinated people is 154,411 (57 per cent of the total population or 67.6 per cent of the eligible population).
