The Barbados Police Service continues its work to rid Barbados of illegal guns.
It has seized 19 firearms and 262 rounds of ammunition in six months.
Police Commissioner, Richard Boyce in a statement has credited the work of the Anti-Gun and Gangs Unit noting the seizures were made in the Bridgetown and Southern Divisions.
He says the Barbados Police Service continues to accomplish its mandate to tackle the illegal possession of firearms in Barbados through a number of investigative and tactical interventions.
According to the top cop, many successes have been achieved to interdict and interrupt armed violent offenders across Barbados.
Meanwhile, Attorney General Dale Marshall has given top marks to the police service for this latest seizure of arms and other achievements.
