A moderate earthquake was recorded northeast of Barbados in the Atlantic Ocean last evening.
The Seismic Research Centre of the University of the West Indies say the 5.4 quake struck at 5:56 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3.
It was located at Latitude: 15.46 North and Longitude: 58.38 West with a of Depth: 170 km.
The quake was around 294 kilometres northeast of Bridgetown, Barbados, 314 kilometres east-northeast of Fort-de-France, Martinique and 329 kilometres northeast of Castries, Saint Lucia.
It was recorded at a depth of 170 kilometres.
