There is major recognition for a Barbadian on the international stage tonight.
Omatali Beckett and his team have copped a Daytime Emmy Award for their work on the “Kelly Clarkson Show” – a daytime television variety talk programme.
The team won for outstanding live sound mixing and sound editing.
Beckett is one of the sound engineers.
CBC News interviewed Mr Beckett, who had a stint at the CBC’s 98.1 and has produced several local albums, as well as live Caribbean shows.
