Bajans urged to take lessons from national heroes

Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley is reminding Barbadians to take lessons from the island’s National Heroes, as Government strives to make Barbados the best it can be.

She was speaking during her address at the Barbados Labour Party’s (BLP) Annual Picnic at Barclay’s Park, St. Andrew.

Ms. Mottley reminded the thousands at the park despite the challenges in recent times, the BLP family had returned home to the location where it all started in 2008.

The Prime Minister adds this is a season of planting, and not the time to reap. she says the country may not be where it ought to be, but it has been returning step by step.

A number of entertainers graced the stage during the picnic, but the acclaimed Morgan Heritage made a cameo appearance at the end of her speech.
