Barbadian culture, cuisine highlighted

Barbadian tourism officials, in the lead up to the start of direct flights between the Cayman Islands and Barbados, have been promoting Destination Barbados especially the Barbados Food and Rum Festival which coincides with the inaugural flight.

That direct flight service is set to commence on October 18 while the Food and Rum Festival is slated to run from October 19 to 22.

During a showcase in the Cayman Islands Barbadian culture and cuisine were highlighted.

Honorary Consul of Barbados to the Cayman Islands, Juliette Gooding-Michelin says the two countries share a long relationship which is being enhanced by the direct flight.
