Barbadians will go to the polls to elect a new government in less than a month, on January 19th in the new year.
That announcement was made this evening by Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley during a national address.
The Prime Minister says she has asked President Dame Sandra Mason to dissolve parliament with immediate effect, with nomination day scheduled for January 3rd.
