The Department of Emergency Management says Barbadians are having challenges rebuilding after natural disasters because their important documents are being destroyed.
This is according to Acting Deputy Director, Danielle Skeete.
She is asking homeowners, especially now during the hurricane season, to safely store important documents such as marriage and birth certificates and title deeds.
Ms Skeete was a panellist in a webinar entitled, “Safeguarding At-Risk Populations, Reflections On Hurricane Elsa”.
