Barbados is battling for reparatory justice from former colonizers with Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley announcing plans to resume discussions with Europe.
She says the conversation is one both sides must confront.
Through her impassioned speech, Prime Minister Mottley highlighted the battle countries are facing as they seek to attain the Sustainable Development Goals.
She says the world is facing several issues as highlighted in almost every speech at the ongoing 78th UN General Assembly.
Ms. Mottley says the climate crisis is draining oxygen and she pointed to lives lost in recent floods in North Africa.
According to Ms. Mottley despite some progress in the climate crisis fight, time is not on our side.
