Barbados Day to be celebrated at the Dubai Expo

Barbados continues to attract people from all over the world through its rich culture and heritage.

This as the island is on display in the United Arab Emirates.

Angela Daniel-Rampersaud is at the Barbados Pavilion in the Dubai Expo and told CBC News about her experience, as well as highlighted some of the benefits of the showcase to the island.

A series of events this weekend is set to bring even more attention to the nation, as a contingent of Barbadian entertainers, including Arturo Tappin, Nicholas Brancker and Edwin Yearwood and Riddim Tribe dancers are in Dubai for a grand concert on Barbados Day, Saturday 26 March.

Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley arrives in Dubai tomorrow, after delivering the inaugural lecture at the World Trade Organization (WTO) Presidential Lecture Series in Geneva today, Wednesday 23 March. She is set to host a “Climate Crisis Youth Forum” on Barbados Day.
