Barbados is working to deepen ties with China in the field of agriculture, in a bid to further enhance local food production and food security.
This morning, Agriculture Minister Indar Weir, met with the People’s Republic of China’s Governor of Hunan Province at the Ministry’s conference room.
They signed a Memorandum of Understanding to help encourage youth in the sector and advance crops particularly rice.
Describing the meeting as significant, Mr. Weir notes agreements have been inked to enhance operations at the BADMC.
