There is concern Barbados has on its hands what a prominent advocate is describing as a “pandemic of domestic violence”.
It’s coming from Dr Marsha Hinds-Layne, former president of the National Organization Of Women.
She spoke about the issue at a panel discussion entitled, “An Examination of the Domestic Violence Protection Orders Act, CAP 130A”.
The event was hosted by the University
Of The West Indies Cave Hill Campus, to commemorate the 16 Days of Activism to End Violence Against Women and Girls.
