Barbados impacted by lack of early action on crime

Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley suggests Barbados has been impacted by its failure to take early action given the age groups of those involved in crime.

She says the country is already facing the consequences of children leaving school, with no jobs and no involvement in post secondary institutions.

This, she says caused her distress on assuming office.

The Prime Minister’s comments came as she addressed the official opening of three new buildings at the Nightengale Children’s Home located in Black Rock, St. Michael and the unveiling of three plaques.
