Barbados has lost a legal luminary.
CBC understands that retired Justice Leroy Inniss Q.C. passed away yesterday.
In a statement, the Barbados Bar Association described Justice Inniss as one who was always courteous in every circumstance.
The Bar noted that Justice Inniss was learned in law and many other things, was a stickler for good research and case preparation, and a proponent for the teaching of civics to our youth.
The statement said he will be deeply missed by his family, colleagues and friends, and extended sincere condolences on his untimely passing.
