The Sankofa Pilgrimage has been described as a significant moment in the history of Barbados and Liberia as it allows for the fostering of new business ties.
That message has come from Minister in the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Investment Senator Chad Blackman who addressed the Liberia Business Roundtable and Exhibition at the Hilton Resort.
Senator Blackman says the Government remains committed to South–South trade and he’s called for the further development of economic relations between the Caribbean and Africa.
Minister Blackman believes Barbados’ economically strategic location can be beneficial to external investors interested in doing business in the region.
He stresses air travel continues to be a vital part of the Government’s strategy to boost economic and cultural ties with the African continent.
He’s explained the Government’s latest policy decisions relating to travel.
