Barbadians will have to wait until 2023 to enjoy one of the island’s major music festivals again.
This as the organisers of the Barbados Reggae Festival have announced the event will not be held this year.
In a statement, the Directors of FAS7STAR – Al Gilkes, Allison Hunte and Roger Frederick Hill – say they were looking to produce a scaled-down version of the event at the beginning of June following the recent relaxation of COVID-19 protocols. Unfortunately, it proved impossible to secure the calibre performers the festival is known for in time.
However, FAS7STAR has promised a bigger and better festival next year, slated to be held at the usual venues from Friday, April 28th until Monday, May 1st, 2023.
