Billions of dollars in investment funding could be channelled to Barbados and other countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
President of the United States Joe Biden has announced an initiative that could see this become a reality.
He made the revelation during a meeting at the White House, attended by Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley, Senior Minister Kerrie Symmonds and CARICOM Secretary General, Dr. Carla Barnett.
The occasion was the inaugural Leaders Meeting of the Americas Partnership for Economic Prosperity.
President Biden also announced a plan to equip entrepreneurs in the region with the skills and resources to succeed.
