Against the background of several fatal shootings, Barbados’ top law enforcement officials are assuring the public the island is still a safe place.
This was stressed by Attorney General Dale Marshall and Commissioner of Police Richard Boyce, during a press conference at Police Headquarters.
The AG described the recent shootings as a spike, noting the Police Service has the power to deal with the situation.
Commissioner of Police Richard Boyce says the Barbados Police Service will be relentless in its pursuit of criminals.
He revealed a source of concern for the Service.
Assistant Commissioner David Griffith says 21 of the 28 murders this year have involved the use of firearms.
