The headquarters of the Barbados Defence Force at St. Ann’s Fort may be relocated.
Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley made the revelation yesterday, as she spoke to members of the media about planned tourism development in Bridgetown.
The Prime Minister was speaking during a tour of the Wyndham Grand Barbados Sam Lord’s Castle Resort yesterday, where she announced plans for a soft opening in October.
She also revealed a meeting with hoteliers and hotel workers would be held next month.
This follows a warning by the Barbados Workers Union about possible industrial action within the sector, if the treatment of workers did not improve ahead of the upcoming winter tourist season.
