The Barbados Government Information Service (BGIS), as it prepares to celebrate its 63rd anniversary next month, has recommitted to being a trusted source of credible public information.
Despite the rapid changes in technology since its establishment in 1958, Chief Information Officer, Sharon Lynch says the BGIS has ensured it kept up to pace.
She says the entity has always sought to use every means at its disposal to communicate Government’s messages.
The department unveiled its new corporate identity during a virtual launch on its Facebook page and Youtube channel.
It is the first time the logo has been changed since it was created back in 1981.
The new logo incorporates the word information, with the letter ‘I’ at the centre.
