It was a homecoming of sorts, as the body of former Prime Minister Sir Lloyd Erskine Sandiford was lying in state at the Democratic Labour Party’s headquarters today.
Sir Lloyd led the country from 1987 to 1994.
Scores of party supporters and well wishers utilised the 2nd official day for public viewing to sign the Condolence Book and get a final look at the former Party leader in the George Street Auditorium.
At different intervals, people greeted Sir Lloyd’s family, including his widow, Angelita Lady Sandiford, son Garth and daughter Inga.
Former government officials were among those reflecting on Sir Lloyd’s legacy and contribution.
