Students at the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus are now able to benefit from an expanded collection of books on Barbadian history.
The Campus’ Sidney Martin Library received 12 copies of the book, ‘Beyond Rum and Saltfish’, authored by Dr. Grant Morris this morning.
The commemorative book forms part of efforts to recognise the contributions of Barbadians in Canada, at important milestones in the history of both nations.
Speaking after presenting the book on behalf of Dr. Morris, Dr. Barbara Trieloff-Deane said she hopes the 293-page text will inspire current and future students.
Officer in Charge of the Sidney Martin Library, Lieutenant Colonel Junior Browne accepted the books noting they will give students a fresh perspective of ways to make a positive global impact.
