The Barbados Revenue Authority (BRA) is addressing concerns about increases in land tax and the use of agricultural land versus residential.
The Manager of Communications and PR at BRA, Carolyn Williams-Gayle, says the issue has been aired publicly in recent times.
She says the Barbados Revenue Authority’s remit is to value and tax the land according to the prescribed land usage.
Ms Gayle explains that land usage is determined by the Planning and Development Department.
