Business opportunities abound in the medicinal cannabis industry.
The observation was made by Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences Dr. Damian Cohall at the presentation of a Research and Development Licence to the Cave Hill Campus of the University of the West Indies from the Barbados Medicinal Cannabis Licensing Authority.
He says the industry is projected to make US 50 billion dollars this year.
Dr. Cohall says the initiative holds wealth and health opportunities in the industry and it has the ability to move gross domestic product upwards.
